Hi everyone...just a quick reminder that you have to be a follower to enter the giveaway, not just comment. I've had a few people tell me that they can't find how to follow without making a new email account. If you tick on the 'follow' button there's a section down the bottom that says 'Don't have any of these?'...click on that and that should lead you to a page that can sign you up without making another email account.
Hope that makes sense!!

Getting back into the swing of things.
It's been a very long time since I've blogged. Sorry about that. We have had all 3 boys sick in our family for the last 3 weeks and even a 3 night stay in the hospital with our youngest, who had pneumonia. I'm slowing getting back into my room and creating. My lovely parents are having ALL 3 of my boys this weekend for a sleepover so I'm planning on being in my room for the afternoon! It needs a massive clean out though so I'll have to get onto that soon!
I've had an order of 2 girlie name plaques that I've been working on and finally finished. Because I haven't sent them to the buyer, I can't put up a full view photo of them but here's a sneak peek...

I have an announcement to make...I'm having another giveaway in the near future...so keep checking my blog to see when it starts.

Busy, busy, busy!!
Morning!
Well, it's only few days away til my next card party! I'm all ready for it, with lots of new designs, especially for Mother's day. I'm so excited!
I'm also starting to get ready for the next card party that's being held at Acacia Ridge Presbyterian Church for their ladies craft night. They meet every 2nd Thursday to work on all different kinds of crafts and they have asked me to host a card making night, making Mother's day cards. I love seeing the different ways ladies design their cards and the different colours they use.
My beautiful sister-in-law Jasmine has asked me to make invitations for her sister's hens day. I LOVE making invitations!!! The theme was vintage, purple, green and butterflies. I'm half way through cutting out 72 butterflies... Here is a sneak peak at them...

Here are a few of my new 'fun cards'.

Card Party update!!
Afternoon everyone...
Wow...what a wonderful day Saturday was! I woke up at 6am (like most days) and started to think about what I should do first. I wanted to take up with me a large bunch of flowers from my garden to decorate the table so I went and picked them.

It was a very relaxed morning getting ready. By 11am myself and my good friend Angie got in the car and started our journey up the coast. I love the drive up the Sunshine Coast and it was great to have company in the car. When we arrived the beautiful host Jodi was ready to go so we got set up and were done by the time the first guest arrived. Everyone was so welcoming and the party got off like any party does with women...lots of chatting. It was so lovely to sit, watch and chat with these women. Jodi had put together a fantastic afternoon tea for her guest, which was nibbled on as the ladies talked and looked through all the cards. After all the guests left we packed up and started to make our way back home. Angie and I had lots of time to review the day and decided it was a BIG SUCCESS!!
I'd like to take this time to say THANK YOU to Jodi for hosting my first card party. I tried not to have expectations of how the party would go but I have to say it set the bar high. I'll be making my way back to the Maroochydore next month for another party, which I'm so thrilled about!!
I actually didn't take many photos of the party which is a shame, and the only photo I took of my display was blurry. Sorry...

Next year....
Hi everyone...
Exciting news...
In January next year I will be starting in a new direction with my cards. I have had many suggestions of how to expand my 'hobby' and have decided to start 'Card Parties'. This involves me traveling to peoples houses/work venues, taking all my cards and also everything I need for people to make their own cards. I already have 5-6 parties in the making, which is very exciting! If any of you are interested in having a party let me know. I don't mind how far away you live...including the sunshine coast (Jodi!).
Also, just like Tupperwear parties, I also have host incentives and offers!!
It's a great excuse to have a girlie night/afternoon too.
Just send me an email to katescorner1@gmail.com or leave me a comment on this post if you're interested.

Josh, the boys and I have also been living in my parents home, in 'limbo land' waiting for settlement to happen on our home but once we move in I hope to be able to show you my Christmas cards before the markets.

Looking ahead...
Hi there..well the Warwick Handmade Expo has come and gone. It was a great experience, though VERY COLD! I'm now starting to look ahead towards Christmas because that is my busiest time.
I'm looking at running a Card Making Workshop in the month of september, so if you are interested in attending please let me know. I already have ladies interested, I'm just needing to put a date to it. I'm thinking it will be Christmas focused. I know that it is early to be thinking of Christmas, but I thought that it would give you enough time to then make more of your own.
Well on that note, I'll leave you.
Til next time.

Getting busy...
After a very successful stall at the Handmade Expo in Ipswich I have under 2 weeks to get my stocks back up so life in the Mansfield house is all about cards! Even Josh is getting in to improve my work space by bringing home another desk and shelves! It's funny how my things have already filled up the new space and I'm still looking for places to put things.
ANYWAY...the next market I'm attending is The Handmade Expo in WARWICK for the Jumpers and Jazz Festival on the 18th July. Should be loads of fun!
I'll hopefully post some new cards that I'll be selling, in the next few days....
