The first prize is:
-2 large cards
-2 small cards
-2 small gift bags!
The second prize is:
-1 large card
-2 small cards
-2 small gift bags!
All you have to do it comment on my status that says 'We've hit 50 'likers' and you're on your way! The giveaway ends Saturday night at 6pm.
Here are some cards I made over the last few days...

Getting into my room..
Morning,
I feel today has been a very productive day around the home...gardening, cleaning, mopping...so that means I have a lot of motivation to get into my room and create while the boys sleep. I love this weather too...overcast, cool...real 'Kate's Corner' weather! In 15 mins, I'll be putting the little ones to bed and heading to my corner...
Thought I'd show you Kate's Corner. It's now a room instead of just a corner, but I work in a corner of the room. I decided not too clean it for the photo...wanted to show you what it looks like on any given day. It's usually messy...I think I work best with things EVERYWHERE! Don't know why that is..
I'll blog tomorrow showing you what I created today...
Oh and I finally found a way to out a link on my blog to my facebook page. Check it out!

Finally made the move...
Hi everyone...
Well, I've finally decided to create a facebook page for Kate's Corner. I'm not sure how to link the FB page to this post so if you'd like to check it out, type Kate's Corner into search on your facebook and it should come up. Once a certain amount of people have joined I'll be hosting a giveaway!

Starting from scratch...
As you can see I've changed the look of my blog a bit...not sure about it yet. Maybe it'll grow me.
Since being sick I've had strict instruction from my husband to rest. It's a little easier said than done with 3 little children needing to be looked after too but I've done the best that I can to rest. I was even told that if I touched the washing..."You will seriously be dead" so I haven't gone there.
So when the boys are all settled in playing I've been heading to my 'corner' to create. It's amazing how much time one card can take to complete. I think it surprises Josh some times how much time I send in my 'corner' and then see how little cards I've made. BUT I'm very happy with what I've achieved so far. It's actually really fun to start my card stock again. I even found myself dreaming of what to design during my sleep last night.
As I have pretty much no cards and a VERY special wedding on this Saturday I won't be attending The Handmade Expo BUT if you're free and looking for something exciting to do, I would encourage you to check it out! Oh and take cash...and lots of it! There are so many great things to buy there. Check out their blog for details and view some of the stalls they have there.

Holidays..
Morning!
Holidays have kind of come to an end here in the Mansfield home, though Ethan doesn't go back to school until Thursday. Josh went back to work this morning after having a 2 week holiday. You've got to love the amount of holidays school teachers get...12 weeks in a year!!! It's been an interesting, exhausting and exciting 2 weeks for us. In the first week we were all suppose to be on a soccer camp for 1 week but by Tuesday morning I was my way home with 3 sick children. Josh stayed up there as he had responsibilities on camp. It was very tiring and I take my hat off to single parents. We had a few doctors appointments during the week but pretty much stayed at home and rested. On the Thursday of that week I had a VERY EXCITING email arrive...
It's a LONG story so I'll make it short. An owner of a little boutique on the south coast of NSW was shown a few of my cards from one of my customers. She emailed me asking for the largest order of cards I have EVER had. It totally made my day...my week...probably even my YEAR! I was so excited! So this meant that all my cards are GONE! My shelves are bare...
But that's fine cause it means I need more stock, which then means I get to shop! Woohoo!
Another thing I've been working on are place cards for my girlfriends wedding. By the end of it I was having cramps in my left hand and had little blisters on the sides of my fingers BUT I loved it all!
Well...today it's my turn to go to the doctors. Hopefully I can kick this 'thing' before the wedding on Saturday. Josh is the only one who is well-ish so he's been working hard caring for all of us and our home. I love my husband!

Back online!
Hi everyone...
It's been way too long since I've posted anything on my blog. I've really missed blogging and blog hopping! We were only working a VERY low amount of gigabytes and hit max only a few days after the new month started so we couldn't use the internet since then! We have now upgraded our plan so posts will now be a bit more frequent.
I've been busy in my room completing orders and restocking. My husband was VERY generous and allowed me to "go to work" 2 full days in the last few weeks. He even gave me his RDO and looked after the boys while a worked!
I haven't been able to attend any markets for a few months because of card parties but am planning on making it to the July Handmade Expo. The Handmade Expo is on this saturday morning. Check out their blog for more details.
Here are some of my recent projects...
(sorry it's a bit blurry and not the best position)
This was a customer order for a 2 yr old boy. His mum supplied the material as she had already bought it with the idea to use it for something in his room. I love owls and this material is just so cute. It looks very dark but I think it's just the lighting in my room.
well, that's enough for today.

The winner's name plaque...
Hi everyone...
I had a few requests from people asking for a photo of the winner's name plaque. Hannah from Counting my Blessings won the giveaway. She couldn't decided which of her 3 daughters would get the name plaque so she decided that the plaque would be made for a friend's unborn baby girl. She asked for either fairies or flowers. I decided to go with flowers as I'm a HUGE fan of them! Here is the finished product...
Thanks for visiting my blog! I love reading your comments!

Givewaway closed!
After a lovely, non-sick week it's the weekend and so that means to giveaway has finished! Thank you to everyone who participated in the giveaway and also posted it on their facebook page. Like my last giveaway, a special member of my family will be picking the winner! This will be done tomorrow morning before the 4 lovely males in my life head off for a night away...leaving me to a relaxing weekend at home! A few weeks ago I told you that my parents were taking my 3 boys for the weekend...well...my eldest son got the stomach bug the day before so we had to cancel all weekend plans, including Josh's birthday camping adventure. This weekend is the 'make up weekend' and I'm so excited!!! I've got a card party (of sorts) in the afternoon and the rest is unknown...I didn't want to make plans, just go with the flow.
Thought I'd share with you a few of my paper bags I'll be trying to sell tomorrow afternoon.
Well, I hope everyone has a fabulous weekend and I post the winner of the giveaway on monday morning!

Just a reminder...
Hi everyone...just a quick reminder that you have to be a follower to enter the giveaway, not just comment. I've had a few people tell me that they can't find how to follow without making a new email account. If you tick on the 'follow' button there's a section down the bottom that says 'Don't have any of these?'...click on that and that should lead you to a page that can sign you up without making another email account.
Hope that makes sense!!

Getting back into the swing of things.
It's been a very long time since I've blogged. Sorry about that. We have had all 3 boys sick in our family for the last 3 weeks and even a 3 night stay in the hospital with our youngest, who had pneumonia. I'm slowing getting back into my room and creating. My lovely parents are having ALL 3 of my boys this weekend for a sleepover so I'm planning on being in my room for the afternoon! It needs a massive clean out though so I'll have to get onto that soon!
I've had an order of 2 girlie name plaques that I've been working on and finally finished. Because I haven't sent them to the buyer, I can't put up a full view photo of them but here's a sneak peek...
I have an announcement to make...I'm having another giveaway in the near future...so keep checking my blog to see when it starts.

Busy, busy, busy!!
Morning!
Well, it's only few days away til my next card party! I'm all ready for it, with lots of new designs, especially for Mother's day. I'm so excited!
I'm also starting to get ready for the next card party that's being held at Acacia Ridge Presbyterian Church for their ladies craft night. They meet every 2nd Thursday to work on all different kinds of crafts and they have asked me to host a card making night, making Mother's day cards. I love seeing the different ways ladies design their cards and the different colours they use.
My beautiful sister-in-law Jasmine has asked me to make invitations for her sister's hens day. I LOVE making invitations!!! The theme was vintage, purple, green and butterflies. I'm half way through cutting out 72 butterflies... Here is a sneak peak at them...
Here are a few of my new 'fun cards'.

Card Party update!!
Afternoon everyone...
Wow...what a wonderful day Saturday was! I woke up at 6am (like most days) and started to think about what I should do first. I wanted to take up with me a large bunch of flowers from my garden to decorate the table so I went and picked them.
It was a very relaxed morning getting ready. By 11am myself and my good friend Angie got in the car and started our journey up the coast. I love the drive up the Sunshine Coast and it was great to have company in the car. When we arrived the beautiful host Jodi was ready to go so we got set up and were done by the time the first guest arrived. Everyone was so welcoming and the party got off like any party does with women...lots of chatting. It was so lovely to sit, watch and chat with these women. Jodi had put together a fantastic afternoon tea for her guest, which was nibbled on as the ladies talked and looked through all the cards. After all the guests left we packed up and started to make our way back home. Angie and I had lots of time to review the day and decided it was a BIG SUCCESS!!
I'd like to take this time to say THANK YOU to Jodi for hosting my first card party. I tried not to have expectations of how the party would go but I have to say it set the bar high. I'll be making my way back to the Maroochydore next month for another party, which I'm so thrilled about!!
I actually didn't take many photos of the party which is a shame, and the only photo I took of my display was blurry. Sorry...
